Back again….

Just wanted to let you all know that we are still in the process of getting the old crew back together. More details to come!

Been a while…

December 12, 2009 by

So it’s been a while since our last post.  For anyone following this page, well, i’m sure you’ve moved on.  But guess what??   We’re back!!  For how long you ask?  Your guess is as good as ours.

Well to get back in the swing of things, I’ll start out with the most recent video game experiences, which would have to be the new content in World of Warcraft.  Patch 3.3 dropped this past Tuesday.  Patch notes can be found here.  Three new dungeons and a new raid have dropped with this patch, with the new raid eventually leading to a fight to end the Lich King once and for all (atleast until the raid reset).  But we won’t even get to see the Lich King for quite some time, as Blizzard is to release new bosses in the raid periodically, with the next set of bosses to be released in a little less than one month.   Also, if you haven’t played in a while, and wish to be a part of the the fal of the Lich King, gearing up for the new content is easy as pie with the new patch.  So what are you waiting for???

Let’s see if I can keep up with posting entries on the site regularly again.  Or even convince the other posters on the site to do the same.  More to come in the next couple days.

The future of comics

April 2, 2009 by

There is a great discussion going on over at The Daily Cartoonist. Just check the comments section of the article detailing the upcoming AAEC Convention (The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists).

The future of the editorial cartoon is a very shaky one. It looks inevitable that newspapers will go the way of the Dodo and therefore the comics that reside within them will also perish.

The Patch Notes

March 27, 2009 by

Quite simply…  the answer to our prayers or Satan in disguise?! Its fate is its own to decide.  This could be a huge success or a gargantuan failure.  If successful this would revolutionize the way games are marketed, sold and experienced.  Guess we will just have to wait and see….

I dare you to make sense of this. Let it be known that you will probably be unable to understand the language they are speaking as it is foreign.

Update: Transformers 3!

March 24, 2009 by

Looks like people excited for Transformers 3 in 2011 will be eating ice cream in their pajamas while tears stream down their soft, precious cheeks tonight.

Bay posted on his official site that was a mistake! I guess giant robot movies can really take it out of you or whatever.

Be a Champion!

March 24, 2009 by

So I’m really pumped about Champions Online. Absurdly so. I even started drawing up what my hero would look like… About halfway through I realized I was drawing the stupidest thing ever and proceeded to start over and create a second stupidest thing ever.

Sigh. Just watch the videos already.

The Legend of Zelda: Tesla Coil of Time

Twin Solid State Musical Tesla coils playing the Zelda theme song….

“The music that you hear is coming from the sparks that these two identical high power solid state Tesla coils are generating. There are no speakers involved. The Tesla coils stand 7 feet tall and are each capable of putting out over 12 foot of spark. They are spaced about 18 feet apart. The coils are controlled over a fiber optic link by a single laptop computer. Each coil is assigned to a midi channel which it responds to by playing notes that are programed into the computer software. What is not obvious is how loud the coils are. They are well over 110dB. Listen for the echo after the notes stop. These coils were constructed by Steve Ward and Jeff Larson. Programming and musical content by Steve Ward. Video was captured by Terry Blake and edited by Jeff Larson.”

Pretty amazing!
